God tells us that love is to be our dominant life value. In fact, Jesus once said that of all the commands in the Bible only two are most important. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself. Explore the many opportunities listed below that we have created to help you get connected to simple ways you can love the people in and around your community. You may also choose to create your own opportunity that is a perfect fit for you and your small group.


 “and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

We in Friends also reach beyond the needs of our local congregation for the purpose of fulfilling our vision:
“to love ALL people to Christ and to Christ-likeness”
We have asked the Father to enable us to take the gospel not only to our immediate area, but to partner with other believers in Jesus to share the hope of Christ to others in need throughout the Helderberg area and the world.
To meet these goals we employ the P.E.A.C.E. plan.

P.E.A.C.E is a grassroots church-to-church strategy, linking congregations around the world to make a difference together. The plan is to follow the example of Jesus in evangelism. Jesus most often met the needs of people physically and then offered them spiritual food once He had their attention.
Such missions trips include providing fresh water to rural communities (see left and below: The borehole at Sishlengeni, Zimbabwe)
