Is this a Christian church ... or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, Friends Christian Fellowship is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christian faith. Friends is an independent church affiliated with the Purpose-Driven Community, The Willow Creek Association and New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI).
Our vision is simple: God is anointing Friends to love ALL people to Christ and to Christ-likeness. However, what truly defines a church is not simply its doctrine, but its values. Friends’ values shape who we are.
What about my kids - do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?
Our children's ministry, e4J (Energetic for Jesus), provides an exciting experience for children from age 3 through to Grade 6. This allows you to get the most from your experience at Friends while your child is receiving high levels of care, attention, teaching and fun!
Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything or be singled out in any way?
At Friends, you'll never be put on the spot, never singled-out, and never embarrassed. As our guest, you won't be asked to participate in the offering. You don't have to sign anything (unless you choose to fill in our Guest Registration Card so we can pray for you and stay in touch) or register your attendance in any way (unless you place your child in our children's ministry - for your child's security, we'll need to get some basic information). Our hope is that you'll allow the service to be our gift to you and that you'll know we're here for you!
What will the service be like?
On weekends, you can expect to experience sincere fellowship, heartfelt praise and worship music, and practical messages that apply to your life in a meaningful way.
How long will the service last?
The Sunday morning service at Friends typically last about two hours including time for fellowshipping over coffee.
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. Casual clothes are the norm at Friends, but please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in…whether it be a pair of jeans, shorts, a tie or a Hawaiian shirt!
What makes this church unique?
Our weekend services present the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impacts people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services.
