New In Town?

Welcome to what many have described as the most beautiful part of the country. I’m sure you are already breathing in the wonderful fresh air, and finding time to take refreshing walks on the beach.

Adjusting to even beautiful areas can be somewhat challenging. Many of us have moved into the area over the past few years – we know what it’s like. Let us help you as best as we can. Why not contact us for any information you need. Our families live in all the major surrounding areas, and our children go to many of the different schools. Between us, I’m sure we will be able to help you.

Also why not pop in and visit us on a Sunday or contact us to find a life group that meets in your area. New friends will soon seem like “old” friends.

Visiting a church service can be an unsettling experience. Whether you’re coming back to church or you’re trying it out for the first time, we know this is a big step for you. Our prayer is that after your visit, you will begin to rethink your perspective on God and the Church.

The following is a survival guide to visiting Friends Christian Fellowship:

1. We get together at 9:30am on Sundays at Somerset West Primary School (view map & directions). SWPS is located off Andries Pretorius Street in Somerset West, one block down from the Dutch Reformed Moeder Church. The service normally ends before 11:30am.
2. Enter SWPS from Andries Pretorius Street. You will see brightly coloured banners at the gate with our name on them. You will receive a wave from Schalk who faithfully looks after the cars every Sunday. Drive into the main car park (you’ll see all the other cars), and feel free to park anywhere.
3. The school hall can be cold in winter, so dress warmly and feel free to bring a rug to wrap round your legs if you feel the cold.
4. If you have primary school aged children, one of our e4J (energetic for Jesus) mentors will invite them to have “loads of fun” with other children their age.
5. At the clearly marked INFORMATION TABLE, you will see an assortment of information. Please feel free to help yourself to any of it. You will also find GUEST REGISTER cards at the table. We would love to acknowledge your visit. After completing the card, pop it in to the PRAYER BOX. We will pray for you even if you ticked the please do not contact me box on the card.
6. People of all ages seem to enjoy our services. There are lots of great churches in Somerset West. We hope you'll give ours a try.
