Our purpose at Friends is to love all people to Christ and to Christ-likeness.
If you would like more information about the various groups and when or when they meet, please contact us.
In this context, there are 5 key parts to everybody’s spiritual journey:
BELONG (Membership) relationally with God, through his Son, Jesus Christ, and with a family of believers.
GROW (Maturity)in your understanding of the Bible and learn to practice the teachings of Jesus.
SERVE (Ministry) in the way you were designed to serve. God made you uniquely and He has a unique plan for your life. Groups help you discover that plan.
SHARE (Missions) your story and the story of Jesus with friends and others by extending a life line of care and encouragement.
WORSHIP (Magnification) God with your whole life, not just on the weekend! LifeGroups help you to develop a lifestyle of surrender to God.
Life groups help to fulfill this purpose, so we have different groups for each of the different ages and stages of life. Groups here at Friends are part of our DNA, so we have made sure that they are a reality in each of our different ministries.
We believe that authentic, life-changing relationships are indispensable to your spiritual growth here at Friends Christian Fellowship. Just as they were vital to the early church (Acts 5:42) they are vital to us now. Our small groups offer you an opportunity to become connected with others and experience authentic community.
Relationships are a priority at Friends. We believe the best way to grow as a believer in Christ is through relationships. We believe the most effective way to live a healthy life is through healthy relationships. We believe that healing from the wounds of life comes through healing relationships. As a result, we have committed to developing small groups throughout the Helderberg. Group life is at the heart of Friends! Our vision is to see every member, attendee, and others in the Helderberg area actively engaged in small group life at Friends. Change is something that God intends for us to experience together, and though relationships can often be messy, we believe that real growth happens through small groups.
1) Vision for Lifegroups: "To see every person, from the core of our church to the ever-growing community, connected in a healthy small group."
2) Mission for Lifegroups: "To help people looking for truth become passionate believers who live lives of purpose and motivate others to do the same."
